By choosing International School Ikast-Brande your child will experience a truly international environment. More that 85 % of our teachers have experience working and living abroad. We use the International Cambridge Curriculums and the International Primary Curriculum as our point of reference. The Cambridge Curriculums and the IGCSE (International General Certificate of Secondary Education) are recognized and accepted all over the world. Your child will be able to transfer into different educational system, including the Danish Education System with no problem. We follow the recommendations of the Danish Ministry of Education and we prepare our students for the Final Danish Secondary Exam.
We offer education to students from the ages of 2,9 to 17 years old. We offer small classroom sizes with a max. of 20 students. Our primary language of instruction is English. All our students are required to take Danish as a subject. We offer Danish classes, both as an additional language and as mother tongue.
The EAL program offers extra support in smaller groups (1-6 students) for students who need to strengthen their English skills. All our teachers and staff are qualified teachers and socio-emotional professionals. We are equally committed to your child’s emotional well being as we are committed to excellence in education. We offer services for students, up to 10 years old from 7:00 in the morning up to 17:00 in the afternoon.
There is free transportation from Brande to the school. There is only 24 km from Brande’s city center to the school. Buses are available Mon-Sun.
