Brande Biennale 2023 - A New International Network Collaboration with Art at its Core

Artists for the Brande Biennale 2023
Brande Biennale is seeking professional international artists interested in participating in Brande Biennale 2023. The event will take place from September 21st to October 1st, 2023.

A Proven Concept
For more than 25 years, the International Art Workshop has been held in Brande and Gludsted in the Municipality of Ikast-Brande. It is a proven concept focused on artistic practice, and the workshop is now evolving into a 10-day biennale, in the heart of the art city, Brande, internationally renowned for its mural paintings, International Street Art Festival, International Art Workshop, and many other artistic and international initiatives spanning over 50+ years.

Who Can Apply?
Professional artists from Denmark, the Nordic countries, and Europe can apply to be considered as active participants in Brande Biennale 2023. We plan to include

• Three young artists (aged 25 - 35)
• Three Danish artists
• Three Nordic artists
• Three European artists.

The artists will join a collaborative workspace, create their art works, be inspired, and increase their competences - in the heart of the art city, Brande.

Meals and Accommodation
Meals and Accommodation The artists will live and eat together in a cozy accommodation with excellent communal areas. To provide inspiration and networking opportunities, excursions to the area's art and art museums will be organized. The biennale will conclude with an exhibition

We cover all costs for meals, accommodation, excursions, workspace, and provide an amount of up to DKK 2,000.00 for materials.

Transportation and working time are part of your contribution to the Brande Biennale, and Brande Biennale will select one of your artworks to be included as part of the foundation for the next Brande Biennale, taking place in 2025
